Changes on the farm

About 1 moth after Numbzi and her family left the farm in favor of a house in the village, i finally got new people hanging around.
Since of last week Ben and his team are staying in the same house like the family before. A lot of things were missing but fixed at the end of this week. After getting the 3 phase electricity running again they started to produce the first few samples of their work. Of course i couldn't resist shooting pictures from time to time. For those of you who didn't know, the carpentry was running like 10years ago but has been suspended and used as storage since of then.

Hanover on a map ?

Well Katja and me had quite some difficultys finding Hanover Village and the Farm on a map prior to coming to ZA.
Even though we made it orientation was almost impossible because the most important back road and even the mainroad crossing through the village were incorrectly displayed.

Some of you might know OpenStreetmap - which is a project which aims to provide very detailed free maps. It works like Wikipedia - feel free to contribute.
Even though i did use GPS Data from my phone before I've just added the most important things of our village to the map.

Step 1 - adding the backroad on the right, the butchery and our farm

Most obvious change in OSM is that the village is not a dead end anymore but is connected to at least 3 other sites, and there are streets in the village - in addition i had to downgrade the road displayed from a minor road to a Track - because it is only a dirt road!

The temporary result - for some reason the village name is not displayed yet - also the 2nd part of the village and hundreads of small paths connecting them is missing atm.
